Christmas Golf Cart Parade

On December 7, 2024, the West Orange Junior Service League and the CITY OF WINTER GARDEN will host the 12th Annual WG Christmas Golf Cart Parade.

Prepare to be enchanted by the magic of the season at the Winter Garden Golf Cart Parade, a delightful collaboration between the West Orange Junior Service League and the City of Winter Garden. This event is a highlight of the holiday season, filled with festive cheer and creativity.

Winter Garden residents, it’s your time to shine! We invite you to transform your golf carts into festive masterpieces and enter them into the Holiday Golf Cart Parade. Let your imagination run wild as you decorate your carts with dazzling lights, captivating costumes, and unique themes. Our judges will be on the lookout for the most extraordinary entries in these categories.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 7, when our charming parade will take to the streets. It’s a day when the community comes together to celebrate the spirit of the season, and we can’t wait to see your creativity shine. Join us for a heartwarming experience that will make your holiday season even brighter.

FOR GOLF CART PARTICIPANTS:

Due to limited space, preregistration is required for all parade entries.

CITY RESIDENT REGISTRATION: Begins 8:00 am on Monday, October 28, 2024
NONRESIDENT REGISTRATION:  Begins 8:00 am on Monday, November 11, 2024

Parade registrations require an account with Winter Garden Parks and Recreation department. This membership form can be found on the home page under parks and recreation quick links. Once membership form is received by the Parks and Recreation Department and entered, you will receive an email to create a user id and password for online registrations.

2024 Winter Garden Christmas Golf Cart Parade Guidelines

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: Friday, November 22, 2024. Registration window may close early once capacity is reached.

Note: You are not registered for the parade until you receive an approval email. Those not approved will also be notified by email.

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee to participate in the parade, is a donation of an UNWRAPPED NEW toy (min. $25 value), check, or cash to the Winter Garden Police Department’s annual HOLIDAY GIFTS FOR KIDS program, which provides presents to Winter Garden youth in need (newborn – 12 years old). The Police Department is especially in need of bikes and scooters for all youth ages. Please NO wrapped toys, guns, or toy weapons.

Donations will be collected at check-in. Checks should be made payable to WINTER GARDEN POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE, INC.

SAFETY RULES FOR SPECTATORS

Parade spectators are asked to not cross Plant Street while the parade is in progress. Golf Carts travel close together along the parade route and can easily be distracted by all the sights and sounds and may not be able to stop in time. Please wait the short timeframe until the parade concludes to cross Plant Street.

Open containers of alcoholic beverages on public streets are strictly prohibited. Alcohol beverages are only permissible within the boundaries of a restaurant or bar. This is a non-alcohol event.

Please Note: Parking along West Plant Street from Dillard Street to Park Avenue, and a portion of the adjoining side streets, will not be available for parking due to the road closures.

Shuttle Service, 3:30 – 9:00 pm

Courtesy of the City of Winter Garden, a COMPLIMENTARY, continuous Shuttle Service will operate 3:30 pm - 10:00 pm for Light Up Winter Garden.

Downtown Shuttle Stop (Drop-off/Pick-up): Corner of Dillard Street and Plant Street

ARRIVAL (Drop-off):

Shuttle will pick up from Dillard Elementary School parking lot and the Corner of 9th Avenue/East Plant Street (848 E. Plant St.) parking lot and drop-off to the Downtown Shuttle Stop (corner of Dillard Street & Plant Street).

RETURN (Pick-up):

Catch the Shuttle from the Downtown Shuttle Stop (corner of Dillard & Plant Street) to return to the Dillard Elementary School parking lot or the Corner of 9th Avenue/East Plant Street (848 E. Plant St.) parking lot.

ROAD CLOSURES

Please note that select roads will be CLOSED in the historic downtown area for this event and other events, December 6 - 7:

West Plant Street from Dillard Street to Park Avenue, and a portion of the adjoining side streets through historic downtown, will be closed from Friday, December 6, at 10:00 am through Saturday, December 7, at approximately 11:00 pm.

The road closures are due to the following free, community holiday events: Light Up Winter Garden (December 6, 6:00-9:00 pm), Winter Garden Christmas Parade (December 7, 10:00 am), outdoor Holiday Night Market (December 7, 4:00-8:00 pm), and Winter Garden Christmas Golf Cart Parade (December 7, 6:00 pm).
